For us, Socotra isn't a place to visit. It's where we grew up, where our families live, and where every trail carries a story.
That's why every journey is personal. We keep groups small, travel with intention, and introduce you to the island as we know it.
Three people you'll meet on every trip. None of us studied tourism. We grew up here, and we know the island the way you know the neighborhood you grew up in.
Born and raised on the island. Educated at the University of Aden, but returned home to do this. He speaks Socotri, Arabic and English fluently, which means stories don't get lost in translation.
Several years guiding professionally. Most of the trails on this site, he designed. The rest, he refined.
The fire-keeper. Cooks over open flame most nights: fresh fish from the coast, slow-stewed lamb, fresh-baked bread and much more.
He takes requests but usually waves them away politely and feeds you something better.
Many years navigating the island's tracks. Knows them in every season, every weather, every state of disrepair.
When the road ends, that's where he tends to drive next.
Camps are taken down to nothing. Waste leaves with us.
Food, drivers, hotels and supplies all come from people who live here. No middlemen. Bookings stay in the community.
You meet the island as it is, not as it might be staged. There are no performances, no folk-show evenings. There is fire, food, and people sitting around it.
