Accessibility
Everyone should be able to explore
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to explore The Socotra Quest. We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines and to keep improving the site's accessibility over time.
What we've done
- Keyboard navigation with a "skip to content" link and visible focus styles
- Semantic landmarks, image alternative text, and labelled controls
- Accessible dialog and menu behaviour (focus handling, Escape to close)
- Respect for the operating-system "reduce motion" setting
- Full right-to-left support and an Arabic translation
- A booking form that can be completed with a keyboard alone, including the date calendar, with every date announced in full rather than as a bare number
Known limitations
Conformance has not yet been independently audited. Some media-rich sections (the immersive scroll experience and gallery) rely on motion and may not be fully optimized for every assistive technology. We are actively working on these.
Booking another way
You never have to use the calendar to travel with us. If the booking page does not work for you, for any reason, email socotraquest@gmail.com or call +1 514 434 4207 and we will take the booking ourselves. It is the same booking, on the same terms, with the same reference.
Tell us
If you encounter a barrier or need information in a different format, please email socotraquest@gmail.com and we will do our best to help and to fix the issue.
